Description
Madagascar is home to thousands of plant species which grow nowhere else.
The “satrana” tree is among them. It is a species of palm tree with large fan-shaped leaves which reveal extraordinary sturdiness. This is why people living on the coasts use them for roofing their houses.
Our Malagasy talented artisans have found in them, a beautiful material to make baskets, floor mats, bags and many more.
Art Land cooperates with artisans who live in villages in the western part of Madagascar to make this basket that we have designed for a multipurpose use.
